Their homes were very much like those of the Lord of the Rings hobbits. It’s hard to find anything more hipster and more eco-friendly than the Vikings. Made of stone, they had lawns on the ceiling and idyllic doors, to the best J.R.R. Tolkien style. But not all of them were like that. The characteristics of the buildings changed according to place and time, and many had traditional roofs. The animation is just the bubbles rising and falling from the pan inside the house. There is a Kraken attacking a ship to give a more mythological air in the Viking stories.
